KEY TRAINING SERVICES
RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL RETAILING
Training for responsible alcohol retailers to address the issues of underage drinking, binge drinking and associated problems. There are two different courses available - one for off licences (Off limits) and one for pubs, clubs and hotels (Counter Measures). Both of these courses have already been delivered in association with 17 different local councils within Northern Ireland.
THE OFF LIMITS COURSE FOR OFF-LICENCES
This is a short one day responsible alcohol retailing course for all off licences - independents, off licences attached to public houses and for mixed trading retail outlets selling alcohol.
THE COUNTER MEASURES COURSE FOR PUBS, CLUBS AND HOTEL BARS
This is a short one day responsible alcohol retailing course for the licensed trade..
WorldHost Training is a world-class training programme developed to raise the standard and delivery of excellence in customer service . The 2 WorldHost courses on offer by SORT Training are The Principles of Customer Service - which is a one day course and the Ambassador Workshop which is comprised of a half day workshop and a local tourism familiarity trip.
These courses are offered in association with NITB and People 1st to help businesses In Northern Ireland gain a competitive edge in this time of tourism opportunity. Funding is available for this training for a limited period through the Department of Employment and Learning.
There are two levels of food safety / hygiene training available and these are suitable for people working in food preparation and cooking or food and drink service.
RHSP LEVEL 2 AWARD IN FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING
This is a 1 day course leading to a Level 2 qualification and is considered as a good basic qualification for anyone working in food preparation and cooking or food and drink service and is awarded by RSPH - the Royal Society for Public Health.
LEVEL 3 AWARD IN SUPERVISING FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING
This Level 3 qualification awarded by RSPH is a 3 day course and is suitable for any one working in a supervisory capacity in food preparation and cooking.
HEALTH & SAFETY
A general basic level health and safety course suitable for a variety of industries.
LEVEL 2 AWARD IN HEALTH & SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
This one day course covers the importance of employee safety for him/herself and others and how to identify potential hazards in the workplace and develop best practice. This qualification is awarded by RSPH - the Royal Society for Public Health.
