SORT Training has three levels of food hygiene training available and these are suitable for people working or preparing to work in the hospitality and catering sector in food preparation and cooking or food and drink service. They enable catering staff to demonstrate to the environmental health enforcers that they have been properly trained in food safety in accordance with the national occupational standards.
The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) food safety in catering awards at level 2 (read more) and 3 (read more) reflect the national occupational standards in food safety for catering and hospitality and incorporate the legal requirement for all food businesses to operate a food safety management system based on HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
We also offer a RSPH level 1 Food Awareness certificate which is a basic qualification suitable for anyone needing a basic awareness of food hygiene.
